About

KC Lee is a Singapore photographer whose photographic journey began in 1979 and had evolved across more than four decades. He established a professional portrait and wedding studio in 1991 and has photographed royalty, ministers, artists and other prominent figures.

Beyond portraiture, his work has also explored pictorial, special-effects and artistic photography, reflecting a continuing interest in seeing and interpreting the world through the photographic medium.

Today, KC Lee continues to pursue photography as a creative and artistic expression. His current work increasingly explore nature, form, texture, light and the often-overlooked details of the environment, beginning with a new body of work centred on Art in Nature.

His experience and photographic knowledge have also led him to share his approach with others through photography workshops, while continuing his own exploration of photography as an art form.

Awarded Fellowship of The Royal Photographic Society Of Great Britain, UK in 1989.
Awarded Associateship of The British Institute Of Professional Photographers, UK in 1992.
Awarded Associateship of The Master Photographers Association, UK in 1992.
Graduated with a Master Degree in Contemporary Practice, The University of Huddersfield, UK in 2006.

International Competitions and Publications

Awarded Gold Medal and Bronze Medal at the 16th Malaysia International Salon of Photography, Certificate of Merit at the 18th International Salon, with further acceptances in subsequent International Salon of Photography in 1983.
Photographic works were selected for the Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand International Salon of Photography as well as The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain, UK Annual International Exhibition.
Placed among the Top 10 in the Singapore National Creative Photography Competition in 1987.
